Specialist Claims Reviewer - Dublin

Excellent career opportunity for an experienced Claims Handler who is looking to move into a more technical role.  As the Specialist Claims Reviewer you will be involve supporting all claims teams to ensure all Claims External Delegated Authority schemes are fully compliant with RSAII Requirements. 

The Specialist Claims Reviewer will spend much of your time with Claims Teams reviewing and auditing External Delegated Authority, Aggregate Deductible and Claims Service Provider arrangements to ensure that these are being monitored & validated in accordance with RSA Group and Regulatory requirements.

You will spend time engaging with key suppliers, Solicitors, Liability Adjusters and MGA’s, ensuring key controls are monitored & that validation is operating in line with RSA requirements. You will have strong communication skills and technical knowledge to build this capability across the business to deliver a robust management of these relationships and to drive continuous improvement.   You will develop, and will use your organisational and planning skills to deal with conflicting priorities and demands

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with External Delegated Authority, Aggregate Deductible and Claims Service Providers to ensure they are operating in compliance with RASII Requirement
  • Working with internal claims staff and management and other key stakeholders to ensure appropriate Audits are completed and meet the requirements of control validation is place for each arrangement
  • Designing and Implementing the annual plan for the claims review cycle in line with a risk-based methodology and in line with Group requirements
  • Monitoring of KPIs in relation to the financial and operational performance of each arrangement
  • Analysing data and information to identify trends, anomalies, gaps, etc.
  • Responsible for tracking issues and actions to conclusion where applicable
  • Ensuring information and interpretation is presented clearly, unambiguously and in a readily comprehensible format appropriate for the audience in question
  • Contributing and managing the production of communications and presentations for stakeholders where applicable
  • Providing data on a regular basis to stakeholders (particularly Actuarial & Portfolio) to evidence effective oversight of External Delegate Authority and Aggregate Deductible arrangements
  • Sharing insights gathered from external suppliers 
  • Compliance with legal, regulatory and policy requirements
  • Provision of accurate and up to date information
  • Quality, timeliness and commercial appropriateness of outputs
  • Personal contribution to team productivity
  • Feedback from colleagues

Requirements:

  • Technical Claims knowledge and expertise across all Lines of Business- Intermediate
  • Previous claims review experience or audit
  • Experience of working in a Claims environment
  • Dublin based Role but travelling to External Key Suppliers
  • Strong data analytical skills
  • Intermediate level Excel & PowerPoint


Regulatory Requirements:

  • Preferably to hold or be progressing toward a recognised qualification in line with the requirements of the Minimum Competency Code for this role (e.g. Grandfathered / APA / CIP / ACII or other recognised qualification)
