As a leading insurance organisation we are seeking to recruit a Managing Director for our Dublin-based operations. We do things a little differently here and we are looking for our Managing Director to stand out from the crowd! You will be reporting to the RSA Insurance Ireland DAC CEO, this is a very senior appointment with the successful applicant also being part of the RSA Insurance Ireland DAC Executive team helping to steer the overall Irish organisation.
As a Managing Director you will be responsible for various KPI’s which, if you are the right person for the role, you can probably figure out already. Hint: we want to grow, not shrink. We want to be market-leading not market-following. You can figure out the rest yourself and we can give you more details during the recruitment process.
You will be leading a successful team all of whom are looking forward to your joining and all of whom will be happy to share with you their views on how you can best do your job. As such the first phase of you joining the company will be particularly stimulating.
You will also be tasked with representing the consumer within the broader Group organisation and assessing the impact of various initiatives in this respect. Don’t underestimate this aspect of the role – our organisation, like all organisations, must be built around the customer and you can help us do even better in this regard.
You need to be really good at managing relationships – relationships with customers, with the broker community, with investors, with agencies, with regulatory bodies…. you get the picture!
Jobs like this involve driving the development of the local business to ensure growth and profitability in line with the regional strategic direction and risk appetite. That’s a long way of saying we want to sell the right products at the right price.
