Counter Fraud Claims Handler

We are currently expanding our offices in Belfast, looking to hire a experienced Counter Fraud Claims Handler to join our busy claim`s team.  

A Counter Fraud Claims Handler role involves handling standard and non-conventional cases using agreed claims processes to achieve settlement and business objectives.  They will spend the majority of your time managing customer interactions, liaising with suppliers, third parties and their representatives, escalating non-standard or complex cases, supporting more qualified colleagues and reviewing policy wordings. 

They will be dealing with customers and third parties on a one to one basis, although They will also work with other colleagues and be part of a team. You will have strong communication, negotiation and organisation skills. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be highly experienced in the investigation & handling of suspect claims & the litigation process. 
  • You will contribute to the overall Litigation Strategy for Counter Fraud. 
  • You will be mostly desk-based, reviewing and assessing claims, liaising with customers, Investigators, Solicitors and third parties on a one to one basis.
  • You will need to carry out detailed inquiries & apply your knowledge & experience to progress these cases to a successful conclusion. 
  • You will also work with other colleagues and be part of a team. You will have strong communication, negotiation, presentation and organisational skills.

 

Requirements:

  • The role is based in Belfast
  • Minimum 2-3 years Liability / Injury claims and fraud handling experience
  • Progression with CII exams
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and claims handling applications
