Learning, Development & Quality Manager-123.ie & Galway

We are looking for someone to lead our Training and Quality functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing the Training and Quality strategies across our Dublin and Galway sites. This is an important role, which will ensure that our training needs are identified and met through successful Quality and Training programmes. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Training & Quality Team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes, curriculum, and learning platforms, to ensure we add value to the business and meet our customers’ needs
  • Lead RSA and 123.ie learning design and production process end-to-end (across all formats and modules including Online, ILT and Blended) ensuring effective and efficient learning solutions are created to meet learning needs.
  • Together with the Senior Leadership teams continually assess quality scorecards to ensure the most important behaviours are being rated to enable identification of outstanding performance as well as those that need improvement
  • Ensure an efficient and seamless interaction for learners across RSA & 123.ie
  • Analyse current data to drive innovation in learning formats and delivery modules, challenging the status quo and driving the efficacy of learning.
  • Project Manage key development projects across multiple stakeholders ensuring adherence to timelines and budget
  • Responsible for identifying and managing external vendors who can support our design philosophy and who partner with RSA & 123.ie to deliver effective and engaging solutions
  • Effectively Lead and develop the Training & Quality team (5)
  • Work proactively as a member of the RSA & 123.ie Leadership Team
  • Monitor trends and changes in your industry, in technology and in the learning discipline to ensure RSA/123.ie are providing a strong learning environment


  • Postgraduate degree in Learning Design or other related area is preferred but not essential
  • Experience a leadership role in a corporate/commercial learning function.
  • Significant proven experience in a leadership role
  • Deep expertise in a range of adult learning methodologies and proven track record in effectively deploying learning solutions which engage a culturally diverse adult base.
  • Experience of social learning, game-based learning, m-learning, On-the-Job approaches, performance support, and other innovative approaches.
  • Fully capable in a range of production tools and methodologies
  • Experience of designing for a range of contexts including ILT, vlLT, workshops, conferences, seminars, distributed contexts.
  • Proven experience in managing a geographically dispersed team and of leading in a matrix team.
  • Understands enterprise-level transformational programmes and has experience developing effective change management plans
  • Significant experience in leading large scale organizational change efforts
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong analytic, and project management skills and a keen ability to successfully partner with and work through others.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team and to engage stakeholders in identified solutions.
