Special Investigation Claims Handler - Hybrid Fixed Term Contract 

We are looking to hire an Special Investigation Claims Handler for a Maternity cover contract.  We are looking for an experienced Claims Handler (preferably one with S.I.U. experience) to join our busy claim`s team based in Dublin or Galway offices.

This Special Investigation Claims Handler role involves handling non-conventional claims using agreed claims processes to obtain evidence to defend claims in Court or achieve nuisance value settlements and business objectives.  They will spend most of your time managing customer interactions, liaising with suppliers, third parties and their representatives, escalating non-standard or complex cases and supporting more qualified colleagues.

They will be dealing with customers, third parties and their representatives on a one-to-one basis, although They will also work with other colleagues and be part of a team. You will have strong communication, negotiation, and organisation skills. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be experienced in the investigation & handling of claims & the litigation process. 
  • You will contribute to the overall Litigation Strategy for Counter Fraud. 
  • You will be mostly desk-based, reviewing, and assessing claims, liaising with customers, Investigators, Solicitors and third parties on a one-to-one basis.
  • You will need to carry out detailed inquiries & apply your knowledge & experience to progress these cases to a successful conclusion. 
  • You will also work with other colleagues and be part of a team. You will have strong communication, negotiation, presentation and organisational skills.

Requirements:

  • The role can be Hybrid or can be based in Dublin or Galway 
  • Minimum 1-2 years Liability / Injury claims and have an understanding of the S.I.U. handling process. 
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and claims handling applications
