Procurement Specialist - Hybrid

This is a permanent position for a procurement professional to join the Procurement Team based in Dublin. The role will require you to develop and implement sourcing plans in line with business priorities and oversee the management of the Third-Party Management Programme.

You will spend most of your time providing a full range of procurement support to the business in both direct and indirect categories, conducting tenders, identifying risks, controlling costs and executing contractual documentation. In addition, you will oversee the running of the Third-Party Management Programme which monitors supplier performance.

You will work in an environment where you will be regularly interacting with a wide variety of business areas internally and externally. You will enjoy using your skills to influence and build cross-functional business teams and supplier relationships and utilise your effective negotiation and influencing skills to agree supplier contracts and optimise cost-to-serve opportunities.

This is a ‘hands-on’ role; the successful candidate will be results-focused and expected to deliver end-to-end processes involving a wide variety and size of initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement/sourcing of service contracts
  • Strong supplier negotiation
  • Contract design and development
  • Excellent commercial skills with the ability to understand project costs and value drivers
  • High level of skill to evaluate bids and compile reports for use in determining awards
  • Cost analysis and modelling
  • Excellent command of written English
  • Good knowledge of supplier/third party management processes
  • Good understanding of operating in a highly regulated environment
  • Strongly self-motivated with a keen ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in use of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint & Word

 

Experience:

  • 5+ years in a procurement role with extensive management of internal & external stakeholders
  • Strong experience in running tender & supplier negotiation processes for business-critical services
  • Solid track record and very comfortable with contract drafting and management
  • Previous experience in an insurance-related environment advantageous, but not essential
